There is a very good blog post by Sramana Mitra on what she believes web 3.0 to be.

Sramana Mitra writes:

3C = Content, Commerce, Community | 4th C = Context | P = Personalization | VS = Vertical Search

This, I submit, is the formula for the future: Web 3.0 = (4C + P + VS).

hmmm … how could this be related to what we are currently working on? Hope to shed more light on this over the course of this spring and summer.

Job Position:
Web Developer with excellent DHTML skills

Salary Type:
Contract

Responsibilities:
* Work directly with the company’s founding team and the Creative Lead in developing the interface for the new product
* Design, implement, test, and maintain new front-end functionality for all users of our software

Required Skills:
* Expertise in DHTML — includes HTML, JavaScript (AJAX), CSS
* Strong understanding of browser layout, cross-browser development practices, and browser degradation strategies
* At least 2 years of active programming experience in the following: JSP, Object Oriented JavaScript, XML, AJAX
* Is expected to be the resident DHTML/JavaScript/CSS expert!

Highly Desired Skills:
* Experience working with libraries such as JQuery, Scriptaculous, Prototype, Google’s development kit, YUI

Other Nice to have Skills:
* Experience integrating external 3rd-party web applications, services and components
* Experience working with LAMP stack is a bonus but not required
* Understanding of SQL
